Global Connections Awareness Month Event:
Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry
a documentary screening
Ai Weiwei is China's most famous international artist, and its most outspoken domestic critic. Against a backdrop of strict censorship and an unresponsive legal system, Ai expresses himself and organizes people through art and social media.
A new film by internationally acclaimed artist Ai Weiwei, Never Sorry, will be shown at Texas Womans University Tuesday evening, October 9 at 6:00 p.m. in ASSC-259, co-sponsored by Visual Arts Department and Global Connections. Following the screening, a Skype interview will be held with Garth Clark, art critic and collector who has just finished a book about Ai Weiwei.
This event is free and open to the public; however, seating is limited.
