The University of North Texas Fibers Department is collaborating with the Office of Sustainability to present the “Sustainable Entrepreneurship” panel discussion. This panel brings together three organizations who share a common goal in providing communities an environmental, social, and economically sustainable pathway to discuss their experiences and ideas surrounding productivity over time. Sustainability continues to grow as many projects and businesses across the nation challenge individuals to rethink how we consume and interact with our environment. For anyone interested in entrepreneurship through sustainable methods, this panel discussion will offer insights in how local organizations provide an avenue for creative growth.

This panel discussion is a part of a collaborative project called Shred to Sell with the UNT Department of Sustainability. Students from the CVAD Fibers Department worked with discarded UNT tee-shirts and transformed them into innovative products which will be sold through various venues including SCRAP Denton. More information can be found at www.fibersnorthtexas.tumblr.com.

Event is free and open to the public.
