"Moebius" logo contest hosted by iArta

The iARTA Research Cluster is sponsoring a $300 Logo Contest for Moebius, a new journal of the convergence of practice and theory in the electronic arts.

Win $300!

The iARTA research cluster (Initiative for Advanced Research in Technology and the Arts) is founding a new journal at UNT—Moebius. We are announcing a prize of $300 for the design of a logo that will appear on the journal.

We are looking for a visual representation of a Moebius strip (Google this for some crude examples) in addition to the text “a journal of the convergence of theory and practice in the electronic arts.”

Please send submissions as electronic attachments to an email message to dschwarz@music.unt.edu; please write CONTEST in the subject heading; the judges will be UNT faculty members Jenny Vogel, Shane Mecklenberger, David Stout, and David Schwarz.

Submissions must be received by April 15, 2011.
Winners will be notified by May 1, 2011.

The Moebius strip is the founding premise of the journal, representing the convergence of the practice on one side and theory on the other: composition and discourse, making and reflecting.

Moebius is an effort of iARTA - the Initiative for Advanced Research in Technology and the Arts. More information at http://iarta.unt.edu/moebius.html
